Where to stay

Wherever you stay, Vienna is not huge. You'll likely be wherever you need to be within a 20-30min cab ride. The city is also really well connected by public transport (buses, trams, underground, you name it)!

All of these are also mapped on the Weekend Map at the bottom of this page.

Spark by Hilton Donaustadt

Booking Link

This hotel is about 15mins away from the venue and 10mins away from the city centre (by cab). The underground is also right at it's doorstep, so you can be in the city centre under 20mins with the U1. A great location with great facilities! It'll have everything you need.
We've secured a number of rooms at a fixed fee through the link above. Single stays come at €150 while double stays will cost you €174. Compare prices with booking.com before committing as this might be cheaper, especially if you book early.

Hotel Overview

This is a cute family run hotel business that offers stays for groups of 1 to 5 people at affordable prices. It's only about 5mins away from the venue and 20mins into the city centre (by cab). The downside: it's not very well connected by public transport.
The per night price list for our wedding is as follows:
- Single room €95
- Double room €115
- Studio for 3 people + kitchen €138,
- Apartment (2 bedrooms) for 4-5 people for €168
Just include "Wedding Furbach-Quendler" when booking (under "message to the hotel" when booking here) and you'll pay the reduced price when checking in.

Other noteworthy hotels...

Vienna is full of nice hotels and it can quickly get overwhelming. The two above work well for the wedding venue, but some of you might also want to stay more towards the city centre, so here are two more that are great for in-city stays:
- magdas HOTEL Vienna City
- Max Brown 7th District
And if you want to treat yourself to something a little fancier...:
- Melia
- The Hoxton

Registry

Having you with us on our wedding day means the world to us - especially knowing that many of you are travelling to celebrate with us. That’s already the greatest gift we could ask for, so we won’t have a formal registry.

If you’d still like to contribute something, we’ve set up a simple honeymoon fund that works easily for guests from around the world.

Vienna Highlights

We really hope that you choose to stay a little longer than just the wedding and explore the beautiful city and culture of Vienna. We've prepared a few highlights that we think are worth exploring.

All of these are also mapped on the Weekend Map at the bottom of this page.

Culture & Famous Sights

Vienna’s culture is shaped by centuries of history but lives very much in the present. Art, architecture, and music are part of everyday life here, whether that’s grand historic buildings, or world-class art collections.
Some places that we think are a great example for this:
Kunsthistorisches Museum: One of the world’s most important art museums, built on the former collections of the Habsburgs. Today, it's one of the largest and most important of its kind in the world.
Albertina Modern: Vienna’s go-to museum for modern and contemporary art, with both international and Austrian works.
Schloss Belvedere: A stunning Baroque palace known for its Gustav Klimt collection and highlights from Vienna’s artistic past.
Sisi Museum and Hofburg Palace: The former imperial palace, now also home to the Austrian president, with a museum that offers a more personal look at Empress Elisabeth.
The Spanish Riding School: A unique Viennese institution where classical horsemanship has been practiced for over 450 years and is recognized by UNESCO.

Coffeehouses

Coffeehouses are embedded into Viennese culture. Treated almost like a second home, they’re spaces to sit for hours, read the newspaper, have long conversations, or simply watch the city go by. We love them!
Here are some of the classics:
Café Central: One of Vienna’s most famous cafés, known for its beautiful interior and its history as a hangout for writers and thinkers. Expect queues!
K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäckerei Demel: Viennese Confectionery Art since 1786. A historic former imperial court supplier, famous for elegant pastries and a lighter, more playful feel than most grand cafés.
Café Sacher: Inside Hotel Sacher and home of the Original Sachertorte. Very traditional and polished - worth it for the history, though great Sachertorte can be found anywhere in Vienna. Queues likely!

Restaurants

Vienna’s "Esskultur" (literally means food culture) is closely tied to the city’s history as a former imperial capital, where influences from across the Habsburg Empire shaped a diverse yet distinctly Viennese cuisine. Dishes like Wiener Schnitzel, Tafelspitz, and classic pastries like Apfelstrudel sit alongside Central and Eastern European flavours, reflecting centuries of cultural exchange. Today, this strong food culture connects old traditions with modern dining, making eating in Vienna less about trends and more about continuity, comfort, and taking time to enjoy the moment.
Plachuttas Gasthaus zur Oper: elegant, modern, restaurant with Viennese cuisine, especially known for its "Tafelspitz".
Zum schwarzen Kameel: "the" culinary institution and has been since 1618, known for sandwich creations as well as classic and innovative Viennese cuisine.
Do&Co am Stephansplatz: amazing view of the Stephansdom on the top floor with tastes from all over the world. Side note: we got engaged here! And Fran loves their Kaiserschmarrn.
Figlmüller (the original): if you're looking for Wiener Schnitzel (i.e. veal), you'll likely hear people talk about this restaurant. They do have an amazing pork Schnitzel too though!

Weekend Map

We’ve put together a map of all wedding weekend locations, including the venue itself, meeting points, hotel recommendations, and other Vienna highlights.
And that's about it! We hope this site is useful and helps you navigate the city and give you everything you need for an awesome weekend.
We cannot wait to celebrate with you soon!
Lots of love,
Franzi & Daniel ❤️
